Who is this camp for?
BeFASTher™ Summer Camp is designed for female soccer players entering grades 5 through 12 (college Freshmen and Sophomores welcome) who want to improve their movement, skill, confidence, and overall performance. The program is appropriate for athletes across a range of experience levels, provided they are motivated to learn and train with purpose.
Is this camp only for elite or highly competitive players?
No. The camp is designed for athletes who are serious about improving, whether they are already playing at a high level or still building their foundation. Training is structured so that players can be challenged appropriately while still receiving clear instruction, meaningful feedback, and a positive developmental experience.
What makes this camp different from a typical summer soccer camp?
Most summer camps focus primarily on drills, touches, and scrimmages. BeFASTher™ takes a broader performance approach.
In addition to soccer-specific skill work, athletes are coached in movement mechanics, deceleration, body control, confidence under pressure, and habits that support both better performance and smarter long-term development. The goal is not simply to keep players active for a few hours. The goal is to help them improve in ways that carry into the season.
Will this camp help with injury prevention?
The camp incorporates ACL injury risk reduction principles, movement quality training, landing mechanics, deceleration work, and single-leg stability development as part of the overall program. These elements are included because they support healthier movement patterns and more efficient athletic performance.
At the same time, it is important to be precise: no training program can eliminate injury risk entirely. The purpose is to help athletes move more effectively, build better habits, and reduce avoidable risk factors wherever possible.
Is this only about injury prevention?
No. Injury risk reduction is an important part of the training, but it is not the sole focus.
BeFASTher™ is a performance camp first. Athletes will work on speed, agility, movement efficiency, soccer skill, decision-making, and confidence under pressure. The movement and body-control work enhances performance while also supporting long-term athletic durability.
What will athletes actually do during a session?
Sessions are structured and purposeful. Depending on the day, athletes may work through components such as:
neurodynamic warm-up and activation
movement mechanics and deceleration work
speed and change-of-direction training
single-leg strength and stability exercises
ball mastery and technical development
1v1 or 2v1 decision-making scenarios
small-sided competitive play
confidence and composure tools for high-pressure moments
Each session is designed to connect physical preparation with real soccer application.
What is the free pre-camp performance session?
Before camp begins, registered athletes are invited to attend a complimentary pre-camp session. This session helps establish a strong foundation before the summer training weeks start.
It includes movement screening, performance coaching, confidence and composure tools, and individual development feedback. The purpose is to help athletes and parents better understand how the player moves, where improvement may be most beneficial, and how the camp will support those goals.
Does my athlete need to attend every week?
No. Athletes may register for one week, two weeks, three weeks, or the full four-week training pathway.
That said, the program is designed to build progressively. Athletes who attend multiple weeks will typically benefit from greater repetition, stronger skill transfer, and more meaningful development over time.
Which option is best for the most meaningful improvement?
For most players, the two-week or longer options provide the strongest developmental value. One week can be an excellent introduction, but additional weeks allow more time for coaching feedback, movement refinement, confidence-building, and soccer-specific application.
How large are the groups?
Group sizes are intentionally limited. This allows for better coaching, more individual feedback, and a stronger overall training environment. The goal is to maintain quality rather than maximize numbers.
Will athletes receive individual feedback?
Yes. One of the key strengths of the camp is that athletes are not simply moved through stations without correction. Players will receive coaching cues, feedback on movement and skill execution, and practical guidance on where they can continue improving.
Is this camp appropriate for players returning from injury?
That depends on the athlete’s situation. If a player is currently recovering from an injury or returning recently from one, parents should use discretion and, when appropriate, consult the athlete’s physician or physical therapist before participation.
The camp includes movement-focused training, but it is not a medical or rehabilitation program.
What should athletes bring?
Athletes should come prepared to train. This generally includes:
cleats or appropriate footwear for the field surface
shin guards
water
weather-appropriate training clothing
a soccer ball if requested in pre-camp communication
Any additional details can be shared prior to the start of camp.
What should parents expect from the environment?
Parents can expect a training environment that is structured, focused, positive, and development-oriented. The standard is serious coaching delivered in a supportive way. Athletes will be challenged, but the atmosphere is designed to build confidence rather than create unnecessary pressure.
Is this camp only for soccer skill development?
No. Soccer skill development is an important part of the camp, but the training goes beyond technical work alone. BeFASTher™ is designed to help athletes become more complete performers by addressing movement quality, body control, speed, confidence, and the ability to handle pressure more effectively.
Why is confidence under pressure part of a soccer camp?
Because performance is never purely physical.
Many athletes have the technical ability to perform well, but struggle when the game speeds up, after a mistake, or when the pressure rises. Teaching athletes how to reset, refocus, and stay composed is a meaningful part of helping them perform at a higher level. These tools are practical, trainable, and highly relevant to competition.
How do I register?
Registration can be completed through the camp registration link or QR code provided on the site. Because spots are limited, early registration is encouraged to secure placement and access any available early registration pricing.
What happens after I register?
After registration, families will receive follow-up communication with key details regarding , payment, timing, location, and any preparation needed before the first session. Registered athletes will also receive information related to the complimentary pre-camp performance session.
Are scholarships available?
A limited number of need-based scholarships are available through the support of local businesses. Families who would like to inquire may do so privately.
What is the overall goal of BeFASTher™?
The goal is to help athletes move better, train smarter, and perform with more confidence when it matters most.
